There is a little disconnect going on here with the elephants feet
Although these images and depict objects that are technically and physically impossible our brain interprets them as real. It does this even though in reality, we know they cannot exist. Scientists have long been puzzled at why the brain maintains two diametrically opposed perceptions of reality. It is often been chalked up to our brains trying to make sense of the world.
